Adding Collaborative beers

Website Comments by MYKE

There's a beer coming out in Ontario next week called Maverick & Gose that is a collaboration between 2 breweries: http://www.momandhops.ca/amsterdam-and-great-lakes-collaborative-maverick-gose-set-for-lcbo/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=amsterdam-and-great-lakes-collaborative-maverick-gose-set-for-lcbo so when adding to the database, does it in essence get added twice ie: once per brewery?

Depends on the beer. If each place releases their own version, then yes. If there's only one release, it goes under whoever is doing the bottling/distribution.

The beer is already in the system under Amsterdam as that is where the actual brewing took place. Amsterdam sends me emails every time they bottle something new and I received the email about this a couple of weeks ago. You can search for it as "Amsterdam Maverick and Gose" or "Great Lakes Brewing Maverick and Gose" and it will show up

If the brewing only took place there, it should only be entered once. Have you tried it? Any good?

It is entered only once, but entered in such a way that it cab be searched both ways. I have not tried this actual version, but I had a chance to taste a sample a couple of months ago and it was alright, very herbal/spicy. At $7.00/bottle and with a limited number of bottles (far fewer than the number Toronto Ratebeerians) it should disappear fast. As BeerPal's Canadian rep I've managed to get several brewers to send me emails when new stuff comes out, but none have yet offered to send me free samples.....I'll have to keep working on that.

What? It took her 14 months to get around to 'investing' it? Oh the humanity of the lost money she could have earned.

The smaller casualty of these abuses is that more and more email addresses (that could be useful) are taken from the domains.... That's why we have to get email accounts that say coolname78298357@domain.com. It all comes down to this.
