Name Breckenridge Brewing New Beer for FREE BEER!

Industry News by MWISCOUNT

Here is a chance for you to name a new beer! From the Beer Street Journal Website: "Breckenridge Brewing and Denver Comic Con want you to come up with a name for this year’s special beer. The beer will be a Belgian witbier infused with Buddha’s hand, an odd-looking, tentacled yellow citrus fruit from Asia. There has to be some sort of nerdy pun in this whole thing somewhere and Breckenridge wants you to find it." Click here for more information: http://beerstreetjournal.com/denver-comic-con-and-breckenridge-want-you-to-name-their-beer/ Check out the Facebook page for news on this opportunity: https://www.facebook.com/DenverComicCon?v=app_432976163386165 If they choose your name, it means FREE BEER FOR A YEAR plus more! Cheers!

Free beer from Breckenridge........yeah, no thanks. Only beers I've had that were worthy are from the Small Batch Series, probably get a year supply of the amber, or worse. Good for them though.
Sorry to hear this isn't a tasty opportunity for creativity in motion. I thought it sounded fun! [:I]

Guess what mattfungus! After I read your forum post, I emailed Breckenridge Brewing about their Submit button not working, offered a coding tip to get it up and running and they are sending me a free three-month supply of the Breckenridge Beer of my choice as well as four signature glasses and offered me a personal tour of the brewery when I'm in Colorado! Yay! Who wants to go on a road trip? [8D] http://www.breckbrew.com/

The contest coincides with comicon, that's why there are so many references to comic books. I chose Iron Fist because his hand fills with energy when he punches someone and he his character follows eastern philosophy. Their beer is made with a fruit called the buddha's hand. The leader in this contest makes a reference to the Elfquest comic book, which were written and drawn by Wendy and Richard Pini. If I wanted to be mean I would challenge the leader vote by writing in "Pini's Pipi", as comic book fans who dislike fantasy comics like Elfquest might vote for it to vote against Elfquest one.

Very clever mattfungus! I understood the tie in with the comics but I wasn't sure what question you were asking me.

No I didn't enter the contest. My brain is usually in overdrive. I find when I get home, I relax body, mind and soul.[:I]
