I didn't think all that much of this beer, and got about as much bacon out of it as I did with Rogue's Voodoo Maple Bacon Donut beer, which is to say...it's very light. Take Aecht Schlenkerla's Urbock if you want to get slammed over the head with smokey-bacon goodness.

The Urbock is the bomb! I think everyone coming tonight has had it before (and will definitely have it again). Hoping for, but not expecting, much from the Uncommon...

It is. I love the look on people's faces when they try it for the first time. It's typically that "holy shit"

Garret, you were absolutely right. If they didn't tell me it was bacon I wouldn't have been able to pinpoint it. But it wasn't a bad brown ale. Probably a one timer, but still, not bad. Had it early in our tasting last night... Whole Foods has had the Urbock on tap once or twice recently - hoping for more of that in a growler!

A year of cellar time has not been kind to this beer. Words of caution to anybody elsem holding onto bottles. Not horrible, but much better young.

Wasn't a huge fan of this from SN either fresh or a 1/2 year of age on it.

Liked it fresh, and had a couple last year right away. 3rd bottle I likely had about 6 months ago and it was still good. This last bottle was rough, glad there are no more downstairs... Almost picked up a fresh 4 pack this past week too
