Non-Beer Discussion by MATTFUNGUS
Everyone thinks you can watch Packer games anywhere in Wisconsin, even Wisconsin... not true. In the Northern Counties of Wisconsin the stations come out of Duluth and they play Viking games. So get cable you say and that works, if the Packer game and the Viking game don't happen at the same time, then the only cable company, Charter, puts on the Viking Game. That shouldn't have been a problem last weekend, you say, the Pack was on at noon, and the Vikings were on at 3. That shouldn't be a problem, so you sit down to watch the Packers game and what do you see, an infomercial on a gutter rake. This is because CBS or Fox are each allowed to show either one or two games on sunday, but only one of them is allowed to show two games and the other one. This weekend CBS had two games, Fox had one. You call up the station to see why they don't have it on there alternative digital station. If they answer, they say that their hands are tied, call cable. You call cable and get someone who is in either texas or south carolina and they have no idea this is going on but their board is all lit up for some reason with calls from Wisconsin. They say they can't do anything because they programming is decided by some exec in Minneapolis. You call him and he gives you a callback saying that it's not their fault, its the NFL's. Now you'd call the NFL but you'd have a sneaking suspicion that they would say that you should call your local provider. You call your friends that have dish and find out, they don't have it either. So you listen to it on the radio (which seems to have none of these problems and isn't blaming anyone else). My question to you is, what would you do next...

You can typically find some kind of pirate station on-line that will broadcast the game. Illegal somehow I'm sure due to NFL "do not broadcast without written consent" and all that jazz...but...whatever.
I have something called NFL Sunday Ticket, I can watch any game. For some reason the Buffalo CBS affiliate only shows the Bills and the Fox affiliate believes that the rest of us are Cowboy fans. So, if you aren't a fan of either, you get NFL Sunday Ticket.

That's what I do for Packer games on the west coast. If I don't feel like going somewhere to watch the 10am games, I'll just search for a free, illegal stream.

Or you could be from a state that has never had a pro team (unless you count the Alabama Crimson Tide), so you have no real connection. Yeah, it kinda sucks sometimes. And no, I'm not a Tide fan. [xx(]
