I'm going to get on my soapbox for a minute..

When you're submitting a beer, DON'T JUST COPY AND PASTE SHIT FROM RATEBEER- chances are that info is WRONG. If you're going to submit a beer, please, just do a little research. The majority of the time, all you have to do is go to the brewery's website and almost anything you need to know about the beer/brewery will be there. I know there are exceptions. Not every beer will be on the brewery's website. And we get that. Fine. That is when I (and I'm assuming the others) will do a Google search on a beer, come up with nothing but info from Ratebeer or BA or whatever and then have to go with it until something else comes along. When you submit a beer and it's clearly copy and pasted from RB and then we go to the brewery website and the REAL information is right in front of us- it only takes longer for us to rip through approving your submissions. Finally, if you're going to go through the trouble of adding a new brewery- do us a favor and put in all the info you can gather, including the brewery description. I KNOW how easy it is to visit RB- just try to be a little more thoughtful. We just want to make sure we are providing the most accurate, up-to-date info to beer peeps as possible. Thanks folks. [8D]

That's not a soapbox, It's an Admin Box and all Admins should agree with these statements and requests. I can't say how many times I've had to get the correct info due to lack of submitted info. It just helps all of us out if everyone does their homework and if you're going to take time to add things to any site, ALL available information should be submitted. Q: How did Clash do it for so long without much help? Wow. And since you're on the Box, phishpond, do tell what inside information that you "might" have regarding our future "new look" BeerPal since you've had a meetup with Flash. Normally I would privately ask this but I believe ALL BeerPals, especially the loyal members that have remained active over the last 4-5 years, ALL BeerPals should be kept up to date regarding any updates. Thank you.

And I should add that 90% of you are submitting beers/breweries properly. 5% are making honest mistakes- no big deal. The other 5% are repeat offenders taking the easiest route just to get their beers through. Come on guys. We want this site to kick ass, right?
Ditto!

I know that I submit beers from this area of the world quite often, If I am ever doing anything wrong, please mail me! I don't want to be silently hated!
' You're doing fine, there's really only one person who enters Canadian beers without all the information, and he hasn't entered anything new for about a year. The rest of the Canadian BeerPals do a great job, especially Chopz, Pootz and Beerdog.

And here I thought copying and pasting from the brewery website was the easy way! Now that I know this RB trick I can add even more! Kidding...seriously the beer's website has got to be just as easy, plus then you can see anything new that the brewer is coming out with and add that too. It's slimjim isn't it? That lazy bastard![}:)][:D]
