Yellowstone Valley Black Widow Oatmeal Stout

Beer Discussion by MATTFUNGUS

BeerPal Notice: This topic was created for discussion of the beer Yellowstone Valley Black Widow Oatmeal Stout. Okay, how many problems can you see with this. [}:)] okay given it is a fly but I can name at least three problems with this.

It's blue? Too much red and not in the shape of an hourglass? Trout don't eat black widows? Black widows don't spin big-ass webs? Don't they live near or on the ground under rocks and stuff? There are no Black Widows in Yellowstone? Black Widows don't have hooks coming out of their ass? Who'd want a poison stout? How many spiders does it take to make a Black Widow Oatmeal Stout? Are spiders a viable substitute for oats for grain in that stout, and can you still call it an Oatmeal Stout if you use black widow spiders? Those are my guesses.

Very good. My main issue is with the spider. Black widows do not make orb webs like charlotte, they make cob webs. Black widows hang upside down in those webs because of their pendulous abdomens. Black widows don't have hula skirts. And yes, fish don't eat black widows, habitats are completely different (need overhanging dark cavelike areas or crawlspaces) then again the post office made the same mistake with their commemorative black widow spider stamp in its commemorative case (orb web, not hanging upside down)
