BeerPal Notice: This topic was created for discussion of the beer Samuel Adams Black and Brew. Anyone know if this is the same coffee stout that lost the nationwide head-to-head voting to the blackberry Wit a few year's back? At the brewfest I voted at, the stout won by a wide margin. Something like 8-1, or 9-1, so we were shocked when it supposedly lost the nationwide vote. I blame Florida.

Very good beer. Don't know about the vote. I agree with kinger's assessment that it is a bit thin, but still damn tasty; very nice addition to their Winter Classics 12 Pack.

I tried one a few weeks ago with just a dash of Bailey's Irish Creme in it and Holy Smoke! It was good.
