Anybody get some bottles, yet? I heard you can get it on the cheap on-line, and it won't even crash your system. [;)]

i'd love to know what your definition of "cheap" is ... i've heard its been ranging from $16 all the way up to $60 a bottle.. but most seem to be going for just under $20.. if you can find it..

Retail in oHIo was between $18-$20 I do believe. Some stores within my area were provide with one case (12-large bottles) and had single bottle limits. I did not bother to partake in driving/calling all around to hunt down a bottle due to having a life and lack of desire. I had this beer on draft a year or two ago when it was created and it was a wonderful beer, these limited store releases are getting out of hand....it's just beer.

Exactly, the brewmaster from Surly was in Toronto recently talking about this exact thing. He sees the point in limited edition beers (i.e. anniversaries don't last forever) but he didn't see the point in making something so limited edition that only a handful of people could get their hands on it, or it would get passed around on eBay for years. He creates beer for people to drink, and if he could brew enough for everybody - he would.

i was absdolutely being sarcastic...reserving it for close to retail crashed several sites, and it's going for upwards of $100 per bottle on Ebay...
