Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale
Beer Discussion by KINGER
BeerPal Notice: This topic was created for discussion of the beer Founders Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale.
Many of the local ACME Grocery Stores have set up a growler station which is a wonderful thing. Dirty Bastard is one of the 1st tap offerings at my local ACME so I stopped in today after work for a fill. Must be my lucky day since my growler was about 2/3 full then the keg kicked. The manager comped me the beer so I only had to pay $4 for the growler (which is reusable of course)and walked out with an almost full growler of Dirty Bastard.
I've always enjoyed this beer and it's so damn good from a keg. You know a brewery is serious when an 8.5% Scottish ale is their "flagship beer" kudos to Founders, and mad props to ACME for upping their craft beer game.

I want some. Will be in oHIo next weekend. I will seek this for certain. Any other local/oHIo goodies I should try to find?

Where will you be? If it's Southern oHIo then I'm not sure who gets down there from up this way. Let me know your whereabouts. The Turbo Shandy is heavy on the lemonade & Sprite aspect, it's nothing phenomenal but can be refreshing on a 90 degree day.

Belmont Party Supply is not too far from the-in-laws. It is an awesome beer store. Looks like a dump from the outside but it is crammed full of great beers.

Went to Jungle Jim's last time up - it IS a monster store. Massive beer selection. Found some Buckeye and Rivertown brews that I hadn't found before. I may go back there to if time permits.

Will you be close to Jungle Jims? I believe it's in the Cincy - Dayton area and hear it's a monster of a store.
Not positive on distribution down in that area, but you should be able to find plenty of Great Lakes, Hoppin Frog and Thirsty Dog. Keep an eye out for anything from The Brew Kettle and Buckeye Brewing as well as Columbus Brewing. Let me know what all you find, and happy hunting!
