I didn't mean to buy any beer

General Beer Discussion by FLASHPRO

Does this ever happen to you guys? I swear. I just told my coworker that I was going grocery shopping, and that I wouldn't buy any beer because I'm moving across the country in a few weeks. But what's this! The local albertsons doubled their beer selection since 2 weeks ago? It hardly changed in 11 months, and now this? So with all intentions of getting none, I came home with RR Damnation, RR Supplication, Stone Saison du Buff, Stone Oak Aged Bastard, and Avery Karma. [:D][:D][:D] I was surprised the oaked bastard was only $2.69 while the supplication was $11.99!

I was in Vegas and stopped a Whole Foods with no intention of buying beer, but WOW! I couldn't help it. I had to check my bag on the return flight because they don't allow that much liquid in a carry-on bag... and they all made it home in tact.

That's a STEAL for Supplication. Same with OAB. Buying great beer when it's not on your mind is great. Buying great beer when it's not on your mind and you get it for cheap...even better.

Supplication was on deck at the Green Dragon (50 taps) last Tuesday. I wouldn't be surprised if they're out of it by now, but I should have at least checked on Saturday when I was downtown. This month has been a reviewing record for meand it's not even over yet! In fact, I'm 2 reviews past my previous record and I have 20 left in my iphone notes to put on here. I don't know how some of you guys maintain such a high pace continuously [xx(]

Reno's close to Portland. The smaller the map, the closer it is. Come on over!!!

I couldn't resist buying 3 more yesterday. This time I got a super deal because two bottles of NB Lips of Faith weren't ringing up on the scanner. She tried manually entering them a few times without luck. Finally she entered them as a Grocery item for $1.79 each. They were 22oz bombers! LOL I know the one was supposed to be about $6. Too bad the Stone Belgo rang up. That was about $7.
