I don't know that much. But I live next door in Iowa and used to take road trips to WI for beer. Since Iowa finally got rid of their archaic 6.2% abv limit last year, the selection here has been steadily improving.

For sure get Ale Asylum, NG and Tyranena. If she can get Central Waters, O'So and Lake Louie that would be awesome too. Check out http://www.discountliquorinc.com/. Wish you were coming up here too farg!

All the above, check out Water Street in downtown for the WS Brewery and Milwaukee Ale house, not too far from Lakefront brewing. Also near water street, though not a brewery, is the Bronze Fonze, a must see. Get a growler (if she's driving) from Sprecher, they also have some one-ofs there at the brewery. the tour is $4 and you get a sample glass and several beers. I've had good luck with Viking Brewery and if she can find Sand Creek Imperial Brown, that's pretty good too. discount liqours is very good, for general purchases of beer, Woodman's or Pac n sav are good choices. don't forget cheese curds.

Thanks, me too. I'm a bit envious that she gets to go and have to stay at work... although her trip is business, I always somehow work in play time as well.

First and foremost, have her buy some New Glarus Belgian Red if you need a specific beer. [:)][:p]
