Why is this year the best so far? The unbelievable selections of beers that we've been seeking out over the year everytime we talk about beer while drinking a beer. We have added even more to our selection since we've been doing this event for so many years our festival organizers are organized! Please BRING A DESIGNATED DRIVER or CAB IT---You'll need one! Mission Statement The San Diego Strong Ale Festival was organized to provide a place for all San Diego breweries and brewers to showcase their strong ales against local and nationally distributed Strong Ales. The festival aims to educate consumers by creating a festival atmosphere for "Brewers" and beer drinkers alike. What Exactly is Strong Ale? Well, for those of us fortunate to call the good old U.S.of A. home, Strong Ale is loosely defined as beers above 8%ABV. For the purpose of our festival, we have accepted this number as the minimum alcohol percentage requirement for participation.
