condensing the reviews
General Beer Discussion by CANNEDDOG
After reviewing a butt load (and thats a lot) of brews I have one thing I would like to see happen. I wish some how some one would "clean up" the reviews. seems silly for 2 or 3 differnt reviews for the same beer because of minor spelling differnce. ex. JW Dunndee's Can be found J.W. Dundee's American Pale Ale and JW Dundees American Pale Ale. Same Ale two diifernt entries. Hopefully some one will take notice and start on the long slow road to correcting this. *HIC* Me

In Reply To #1 We're well on our way to erradicating all the nonsense beers. Me, Clash, E, and FlashPro have been deleting duplicates and beers listed as a misspelling. You can expect the database to be well cleaned up early 2005. We've been slacking lately, well, especially me, because of being way too busy but I'll be back on track very soon. The database is about 65% cleaned up at this point. Once that is done, we will need to sift through the recently added beers to make sure we don't have any more screwups, then we will be all done. We will be approving the beers as they are added in the future, so that we can delete mistakes ASAP. Beers that are duplicated will have their reviews sent to the correct or original listing. Change is in the future.

I feel somewhat responsible.....For I made the mistake of posting
Yards Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale as just plain old Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale recently.....Then I reposted it as Yard's Thomas Jefferson Tavern Ale with an Apostrophe.....Then after searching for Yard's or Yards or whatever, I see that one listed has Yards without the Apostrophe........Had I known of these slight spelling/grammatical canundrums, I would have done it right the first time!....
