49ers

Non-Beer Discussion by FLASHPRO

I've always wanted to see an NFL game but every time I thought of it, the Eagles tickets were already sold out (Sorry, i'm not goig to pay $200 to a ticket agency). So, since I've been in San Fran, I was able to make it to the last 49ers game against the Cardinals. It promised to be a real stinker of a game lol. Cardinals being 1-3 and the 49ers winless. Well, the first 55 minutes were pretty boring. 25% of the people left after the niners fumbled on the cards 15 yard line and were trailing by 16 points. But some how, they managed to score 2 touchdowns with two 2 point conversions in the last few minutes. Aftering winning the coin toss for overtime possession, they went on to win! I normally couldn't care less about who of those teams won, but it was definitely a cool experience for my first NFL game. BEER! Oh yeah, I did have a beer... for $8. A gordon biersch marzen. They didn't even advertise the price, that I could see. There beer wasn't bad, but at $8, one is enough. Bud was only $5. P.S. I've wanted Eagles tickets ONLY because I live 20 minutes from their stadium. It's important to note that they are my most HATED team in the NFL. They're nothing but a lucky group of average players that thank god have gotten what they deserved in the post seasons of the last few years. GO GIANTS!

Five dollars for a Bud in San Fran, a city that some have said has the highest cost of living in the U.S.? At Heinz field the price for a crappy beer is (are you sitting down) eight dollars. Oiznop and I joked that at that price they should be selling St. Bernardus in a plastic chalice.

In Reply To #2 8 dollars at Comerica too. Seems to be the going rate for something you'll never see in my refrigerator(Bud,Miller,Coors, etc). Kissmybass

Flash, you have never been to an NFL game before going all the way to San Francisco??....Hmmm....Well I guess I can relate...My first ever NFL game didn't happen until I was 19!.....That was back when the Stillers were coming off of the 70's and going into their tail spin of the 80's......As you can imagine, the wagon jumpers hopped off the wagon, and the Diehard's became pissed off!.....so there was ticket availability if you knew someone......But to reiterate sudsman's statement, the price of generic standard commercialized whiz in a plastic bottle is absolutely absurd at both Heinz Field and PNC Park.....I never never ever drink stadium beer....It's not worth it.....When I go to a game, I make sure I do my drinking afterwards.....The problem we have here in PGH is too many morons get tanked up either before or during the game, and become so looped up, they either get sick, or cause trouble with other people (visiting team fans).......Unfortunately that's the way it is!
