General Beer Discussion by SHAWKASHAM

I have asked every person I know this question and no one can answer it. What is the alcohol percentage in NewCastle Brown Ale? Please!

4.5% according to real beer. Homebrew clones seem to shoot for this % as well. Brett http://www.realbeer.com/library/beerbreak/archives/beerbreak20010510.php

You ever notice they don't put that info on bottles anymore? Only in Canada.

In Reply To #5 I think brewers are prohibited from advertising the strength of their product, which may preclude even showing the abv on the bottle. Maybe.

In Reply To #6 Odd law if that's true. They used to do it. I like being able to look on the bottle and read the percentages. Just one guy's opinion.

I still see some bottles that have the abv. At least I think I do... :) Maybe just certain brewers? I agree with Crown, that seems odd. They should HAVE to put that one there... somewhere.
