New Glarus Brewing Co.

Brewery Discussion by PFOXYJOHN

I know there are many fans of the New Glarus Brewing Company out there, so I thought I would provide the links to this interesting and insightful 2-part interview with brewmaster/owners Dan and Deb Carey about their 15-year history of producing “interesting, flavorful, drinkable, and unique” beers. http://www.madisonbeerreview.com/2008/10/interview-with-new-glarus-part-i.html http://www.madisonbeerreview.com/search?updated-max=2008-10-17T05%3A30%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=7

They now have 4 of the top 20 pilsners on this site! The two I've had are among the best, so no argument from me.

...and here I thought New Glarus was all about the Jack's Links jerky.

John, are the four fruit beers listed as year round beers on their site really year round (as in always available)? That's just ridiculous to me. In the very best of ways. Trying to get up there sooner than later.

I'm happy anytime a New Glarus thread is revived or when one of their elixirs is in my glass. PfoxyJohn, see you next weekend. [8D][^]

Yes, yes they are. The only glitch has been due to weather-related poor fruit harvest. But even when that interrupted the supply of Belgian Red a couple years ago, it resulted in the release of Serendipity. A rather disconcerting update. Today I thought I'd check out availability of said beers to replenish the cellar, only to find store shelves bare of Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart. Not sure what's going on.
