Happy Veteran's Day
Non-Beer Discussion by FOAMDOME
Thanks and Cheers to all of our veterans here on BeerPal. I hope this Veteran's Day is a chance for all of us to say thank you to friends and family who have served in this and previous wars. It's been said that no one hates war more than those who must do the fighting. Let's figure out a way to honor our veterans' sacrifices, yes, but also to hasten the day when war will no longer be necessary and people live in peace. And while we're at it, Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps! Semper Fi, Mac (you too, BeerHunter)!

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude." Happy Veteran's Day
cyrenaica, you're the man! We have Legions here, too. But yours probably have better beer. And ours are called American Legions. We also have an organization called Veterans of Foreign Wars, or VFW. In any event, yours was a magnanimous gesture. Pure class.
I've done it for 6 years now....and word gets around, the first year I did it, there was only 11 of them....this year there was 83.....it's only $3/beer so it's still affordable. As for the beer...they only have 3 choices, Budweiser, Labatt Blue, or Labatt 50

Stop being such a goody two shoes. It's an American war. Let them fight it themselves. Before anybody bashes me....I have dual citizenship, but I think this war is a waste of effort and money. As a property owner rin America, I can think of better things to spend the taxpayers dollar on.

Went to my local Legion (that's what we call the Veteran's hangouts in Canada) and bought them a round of beer as my thanks.
BUMP! Was there for the President's wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknowns and remarks in the Amphitheater, and also visited friends in Section 64 (9/11). What a beautiful day to pay tribute to Veterans, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice and now rest in honored glory. To those who served and those who waited, thank you!

Tip o' the cap to Applebee's and Hooters, who offer a free entree to vets on Veterans' Day every year. I'd made plans to get together at Applebee's with 2nd ex-wife, who is also a vet, but she begged off, last-minute... so I went to Hooters [:D][:p][:D]
