American Beers brewed in Canada

General Beer Discussion by CROWN

NExt time your in Canada take a look (or drink) of some the commercializeed Amercian beers like Budweiser and Coors. They are brewed in Canada and actually taste much different. The alcohol % is a bit higher and they are brewed inplaces like Hamilton, Ontario. A Bud here and a Bud there are two completely different beers. Also the Moosehead we get here is nothing like the Moosehead brewed there. Same with teh Molsen Canadinas and Labatt Blues (but I'd stay away from them anyhow as they are garbage here, there and everywhere)

finally some one who get it. i've been trying to tell americans for awhile that our bud is quite good, very good actually. i'd never drink a yank bud. coors lite sux no matter who makes it or where it's made.

I'd have to agree with Myke, I can almost stand a Canadian-brewed Bud... almost... Just a thought, does that mean BP should have two Buds to review... American and Canadian versions?

If I want a Bud, I want an American-brewed Bud as I find the Canuck version simply wretched tasting. It appears that the receipe was fiddled with as it crossed the border. Also, most all the Japanese beer available in this area (Vancouver, BC), i.e., Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo, is made in Canada. I wonder how it compares to the "real", made-at-home stuff.
