For me they would be (and not necessarily in this order): Eric Clapton Jimi Hendrix Carlos Santana Stevie Ray Vaughn Jimmy Page Alex Lifeson Mike Rutherford Steve Hackett Robby Krieger John Lennon Kieth Richard Tom Petty David Crosby Neal Young Steven Stills Randy Rhodes Pete Townshend David Gilmore Billy Gibbons (or Dusty Hill...I forget which one plays bass) Jerry Garcia Richie Blackmore Dicky Betts Joe Walsh Lindsey Buckingham Peter Green Whew!...Give me time, I am sure I can come up with more....

I can only put two on my lists, the rest can fight for a popularity contest. In No particular order: Jeff Beck, David Gilmore... KMB Honorable Mention, Rick Emmitt </font id="quote"></td></tr></table></blockquote id="quote"> i can't believe i forgot gilmour, the greatest soloist of all time. thanks KMB
Joe Satriani... saw him twice live. Kicks ass ! Fast or slow, heavy or smooth. Great guitar teacher. Gave lessons to Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Charlie Hunter. As a shredder, I enjoy Yngwie Malmsteen. Super-fast on classical guitar. The stuff with Rising Force is quite decent for metal music with vocal.
conell is an excellent singer, and a great showman, songwriter, and lyricist, but when you see thayall live, wow!
