Heineken Dark

General Beer Discussion by OIZNOP

Ok....What's the deal???.....I see by the list on here that we have a Heineken "Special" Dark, but the beer I wish to review is Heineken Dark, which is what it is called on the label....Nothing special about it, in the name or the beer.....Are we talking about the same beverage???....Again, looking to avoid duplicate listings.......Someone please clarify! I think it's the same. As far as I know Heineken produces only one sort of dark beer.

OK....after doing some research by going to another beer rating site (GASP!!!!), which had Heiny Dark Lager and Heiny Special Dark as two separate entities, I have reached the conclusion that that is indeed the case, and added Heiny Dark Lager to the database. Unless anyone can prove to me otherwise, this is the basis for my arguement. I tried going to Heineken.com to verify, but they want you to sign up for a membership before you can enter their site. I have absolutely no intentions of sigining up for a membership to a site for a beer that I don't like. Again, if anyone can prove to me that Special Dark and Dark Lager are infact the same beer, this is the way it is. I am open to debate and discussion regarding this with solid proof to the contrary.
