Pabst

General Beer Discussion by FISHBULB

I read a review by Clash, and he mentioned that Pabst was something of a trend. When I though about it he was right. There is a really cool bar in Lawrence where all sorts of people hang out from hippies, the occasioal frat boy who gets lost, lots of grad students, writers, and even greasers wearing cowboy boots (yes they are still around, greasers will always be cool). Anyway this bar sells $1 Pabst and is my drink of choice when Boulevard Pale is not on special. They must sell truck loads of Pabst every night. I have no ieda why it is so trendy all of a sudden, all my freinds now buy Pabst instead of High Life when they want a cheap beer.

In Reply To #9 Sierra Nevada is $6.99 (or more) a sixer in ATL and if you find it in a bar (not common) it's always over $4 a pint.

PBR....yummm....I remember the good old days of high school. Should I try it again? Several of my co-workers swear by it, and I just can't bring myself to try it again. Kinda like Mad-dog 20/20....or finding my thrill on Strawberry Hill.....or Nasty Light. Just can't bring myself to do it. Maybe a nice bottle of Listerine?

It seems like every coffee house, ratty-shoe-ill-fitting-pants-wearing hippster in this area now drinks PBR. I think it brings out a true working class proletariat feeling in them. A way to rebel against their rich parents... sort of. Maybe I should write a term paper on PBR, and the contrasting socioeconomic posisitions it holds in society. ;)
