Dick, a Michigan Tech graduate was looking for a way to return to the Copper Country. Paul, meanwhile, was introduced to - and seduced by - the crystal clear waters of nearby Lake Superior, the beauty of the surrounding area, and the small-town charm of Houghton, Michigan. Dick and Paul willingly coerced David Lawrence from the Wynkoop Brewing Company (Denver, CO) to join them for the ride. The three men, whose passion for beer runs as deep as Superior, are the driving forces behind Keweenaw Brewing Company.
