Zlatý Bažant '73 is an exceptional lager inspired by the oldest surviving recipe of Zlatý Bažant beer from April 16, 1973. Zlatý Bažant '73 is a light twelve-level lager with an alcohol content of 4.5%. It is produced by the method of decoction mashing into two mashes using barley malt from our own malthouse, Žatec hops and special yeast. Its advantage is an extra long, up to 6-week cooking. It is characterized by a pleasant hop aroma, balanced by a higher fullness of taste, a golden yellow color and a pleasant higher bitterness, which fully develops especially after drinking and has a very pleasant, moderately long finish. You can also enjoy this time-honored hit from the comfort of your home. We believe that soon we will meet again in good health and toast together to our favorite: "Cheers, Slovakia!"

Pours pale gold with weak head. The aroma is grainy, sugary malt sweet along with floral hoppiness. It smells pretty good for the style. The taste has malty and graininess to go along side a pulse of spice and floral hops. Just as in the aroma this seems pretty solid for the style.
