A really incredible session beer joins this winter’s rotation! Střízlík is a 10* Czech Style Pale Lager that uses premium Czech ingredients to create a simple yet beautifully flavorful and zippy, little beer.Střízlík is devoted to the idea that great ingredients and trustworthy processes make great beer; the same philosophy that of course guides all of our beer but is notable with this winter’s releases in our family of Czech Style beers: Prašná Brána, Uzený, and now Střízlík. These beers are so special to us because they remind us of what beer is and has been for centuries. No reinvention happening here! Střízlík begins as a a 10*Plato pale lager built up exclusively with 100% Floor Malted Bohemian Pilsner Malt that we step mash to bring out this malt’s full range of enzymes and nuanced flavors of sweet Hawaiian rolls and slight nuttiness. In the kettle, Střízlík receives several doses of Czech grown Saaz hops that impart a consistent and rounded grassy bitterness. Its cold fermentation with Czech Lager yeast leaves a clean and distinctly Czech flavor. Spunding over the course of its extended lagering period provides a soft and full natural carbonation and ultimately filtration allows this brilliantly clear beer to accurately and honestly give you the satisfaction of knowing you’re tasting the fullness of premium ingredients from Czech field to Arizona glass. Beautiful Malt. The Right Hops. Proper Yeast. Soft Water. Natural Carbonation. Why complicate a good thing? Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

Pint can pours with a crystal clear gold colored body that supports a thin bright white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some pils like malts, a dash of cracker malts and then a pleasing spicy Saaz hops. The taste delivers a growing spicy Saaz hop goodness that runs up to acceptable levels about midway. Behind the joyous hops are murmurs of smooth soft mildly sweet malts and the thinnest hit of cracker malts. This is a really nice logger. Need more.
