We took all the goodness from batch one Barrel Aged Predation and made it even better. Hand toasted marshmallow, marshmallow fluff, many pounds of vanilla, Peruvian cacao nibs all in a rich and roasty imperial stout base. Liquid s’mores. Yummy.

Rated Dec. 2021. Pint can pours with a deep dark colored body that supports a full mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of booze, bourbon, chocolate and hints of vanilla. If I concentrate, and maybe force the issue, I think I smell marshmallow. The taste is awash with delicious velvety dark chocolate notes nuanced by sweetened dark roasted malts, booze and a bourbon like barrel character (ok, it might actually be whiskey I'm getting). To midway it gains fun vanilla and faintly marshmallow nuances. This has great balance as the barrel treatment is there and strong but so are the 'beer' notes. The booziness is just enough to help cut the sweetness and create a mild warming in the tummy. Solid sipper goodness.
