A barrel fermented & lagered german style pilsner - gives homage to our homies @horusagedales & @superstitionmeadery missing in action BUT not in spirit! We knocked out super cold pils wort into a mix of blueberry cider barrels, mead/whiskey barrels, and a juniper mead/gin barrel. We let the brew ferment a bit inside the brewery before letting them lager cold in our walk in. Brewed with traditional Barke Pils and Saaz hops. The beer then rested for over a month to create an incredibly complex, fruity, sweet, oaky yet clean and crisp pils.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Rated Sept. 2020. Pint can pours with a clear gold body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma comes across sweet with pils like malts, a bit of apple and pear esters and then a sense of oak. The taste delivers sweet malts and sweet pils malts and sweetened oak leading to a slightly drier malt character. Another sip reveals the sweet yeasty apple to pear fruity esters. Nice but there should be something to counter the sweetness.
