DESTINIES IN DUST. Pastry Stouts are great, we love ‘em. But sometimes it’s nice to take the time to appreciate a stout in its purest form. All the elements we love come from this classic imperial stout grain bill featuring our favorite chocolate rye and double roasted malts. BIG aroma, BIG flavor and a sumptuous viscosity that results in an extremely delightful mouthfeel. On the nose we’re getting mocha, Double Dutch Girl Scout Cookies and low-acidity cold brew coffee. After letting this brew warm up a touch, we’re getting brownie batter, chocolate ganache cake and chocolate covered berries. A whole lotta chocolate going on in this one. One that’s best to slow down and enjoy at 10.5%.

Rated April 2021. Pint can pours with a deep dark colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee and then sort of a cookie sort of toffee molasses chocolate like sensation. The taste delivers smooth near velvety dark chocolate goodness that starts to pick up sweetened dark roasted coffee. The chocolate mingles with the coffee in a variety of ways right into the finish. As it warms the chocolate goodness only grows. Nice sipper with little sense of the big AVB.
