Introducing CHRISTMAS CACTUS (2022), a 10.9% BA STOUT BLEND... Christmas Cactus returns with an equal blend of a 21 month vintage of Who Hit John aged in a Weller Bourbon barrel, and a standout Nine Month Kingsnake Vintage aged in a Watermill Rye barrel. Let's not forget the cherry on top, (pun intended) some expressive stout aged for three months in some top notch cherry brandy barrels. Strong notes of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee with a tasteful currant and Luxardo cherry finish. Rye and oak undertones throughout complimenting the rich flavors from start to finish.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pint can pours with a deep dark moonless night colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up barrel booze and then a mild blend of dark roasted malts and chocolate malts. The taste delivers similar notes as the booze and barrel treatment lead the charge followed by smooth chocolate and dark roasted malts. This is rich and deep and decadent while maintaining a pleasing balance between the beer notes and the barrel treatment. Great sipper.
