You thought we were gonna release three beers on a Friday and forget about the rest of the weekend? Think again! Our newest collaboration with our friends from @jlpatisserieaz being released this SATURDAY! We love getting together with our pals and putting our heads together on a giant pastry inspired beer. Brewed bigger than last year's release with a huge grain bill filled with a carefully selected blend of caramel malts and loads of oats, before we capped off the mash with JL's very own house flour used for their pastries. We really wanted to hit it home with the adjuncts on this beast, so we looped in our friends at @zakschocolate for the finest cacao nibs in the valley. Taking a blend of their Ugandan and Nicaraguan nibs for a balanced earthy richness, in combination with tons of roasted pecans and caramels for that classic turtle flavor. To ensure we got the flavors we were striving for, we rested the beer in two stages on these ingredients over the course of 14 days to make them really shine. Aromas of earthy chocolate just as pungent as the raw nibs themselves with a touch of the caramel sweetness. A creamy mouthfeel from its delicate carbonation, creating the perfect balance to make the flavors dance while not falling flat leaving you wanting more. Rich chocolate up front before transitioning in to some roasted flavors from both the pecans and malts used. In a way reminding us of a fresh cup of light roasted coffee. Rounded nuttiness throughout leading to a toffee sweetness from the caramels.
