A rich and decadent imperial stout collaboration with our Southern California buddies, @bottlelogicbrewing . Utilizing some of BL‘s coveted Vanuatu Vanilla Beans, this Imperial Stout enters with a dense and velvety mouthfeel, accentuated by notes of fire-roasted marshmallow and nostalgic chocolate syrup. You won't want to miss out on this very special stout celebrating a very special anniversary.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Pint can pours with a deep dark sludgy black used motor oil colored body that supports a short lived tiny head of tan foam. The aroma offers up inviting levels of chocolate, Ovaltine, a bit of marshmallow and then faint hints of dark roasted malts and some nuttiness. The taste is straight up chocolate yum. I get chocolate Ovaltine heading straight into slipper sweet malts, booze and dark chocolate. There other notes in here are far below the delicious chocolate onslaught. I get hints of dark roasted to burnt malts sweetened by slick reduced sugars and malts. Toward the finish the big ABV is noticed only by a mild degree of warming as the elixir slips down and gets inside. Great sipper.
