A blend of our decadent Imperial Stout aged in Weller bourbon barrels for 29 months, Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels for 24 months, and rum barrels for 11 months. Balancing that blend with a recent big stout brewed with Dutch Syrup, before resting the entire batch on heaps of Ugandan and Tahitian vanilla beans. We're getting stroopwafel-esque sweetness stemming from both the Weller barrels and the Dutch Syrup combined. A non-dominating oak presence throughout with a mild spirit backbone attributed to those younger rum barrels. Finishing with some black cherry and dark fruit richness alongside the burnt sugar and caramel sweetness make this blend a true experience to enjoy.

    Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Rated May 2024. Pint can pours with a deep dark colored body that has thin dark mahogany hues and supports a full mocha head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of dark roasted malts, dark chocolate malts and bourbon booze followed by a dash of fruity esters, kettle caramelization and then more booze and bourbon. The taste delivers smooth slick modestly malt sweetened velvety dark chocolate and dark roasted malts rushing towards a wall of supple smooth bourbon and a bit of boozy heat. To midway it picks up a flash of esters and a growing dark chocolate goodness. This is bangin' with balance, depth, richness and sipping perfection.
