A big, Belgian brown ale which emulates the flavors of a classic Trappist dubbel. Trappist beers are brewed in seven monestaries located in Belgium and the Netherlands, their secular counterparts are known as “Abbey Ales”. Expect a rich, malty flavor enhanced by our house-made candi sugar. Fermented with a yeast sourced from the Chimay Abbey.

Pours a barely translucent mahogany with a thin, fine-bubbled light tan head. Strong aroma is fruity and malty and has a woody hint. Flavor is rich and fruity, mainly apple and pear, with a malty undertone and hints of caramel and horehound. Fizzy, edgy texture leaves a woody, fruity and tingly finish.
