Woodforde's bottled beers are produced by craft brewers in the picturesque village of Woodbastwick near Norwich. Only the finest ingredients are used - Maris Otter barley grown and malted in Norfolk, hop varieties chosen for theit characteristic balance of bitterness and aroma, Woodbastwick spring water and yeast - resulting in a high quality real ale that matures naturally in the bottle. Pour carefully in one slow steady movement, leaving the live yeast sediment in the bottle. After moving, allow the yeast to re-settle.

Clear light amber, off-white lacing foam head. Small hoppy aroma, light fruity tones. Not a strong taste, had higher expectations. Little bitter taste, small fruity notes. (Velp 201506)

Cask at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough, where they said the abv was 5% and I think they were right. Full bodied, fruity and hoppy, well balanced by the malts. Hoppy finish. Good stuff.

Bottle conditioned, 500 ml. Bought at Memorable Cheeses, Ipswich. No head, very little carbonation. Deep amber colour, hazy (I poured the yeast in). Aroma is hoppy, oaky, slightly spicy. Well balanced flavour, just the right blend of fruitiness, hoppiness and maltiness. Nice hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. A good beer!
