This brew pours a dark amber-brown color with a medium dense light beige head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Medium body with a sweet malty character with notes of chocolate, mild hops and a touch of coffee. The finish is roasty and earthy with a malt aftertaste.

Kicked off a small tasting with this bottle and we were all very impressed with the goodness provided. Fairly heavy and rich for a Schwarzbier the aromas and flavors were a jumble of black licorice, mixed berries, raisin and a hint of roast. An ideal bottle to start the night off with. Awesome job Wooden Shoe.
