We are getting close to releasing our newest Special Reserve 4 pack. This time around it is a twisted up Scotch Ale - heavy on the twist, easy on the Scotch - way crazy on the twist. It is called: Wisconsin Scottish Ale. We named it in honor of our clansmen and fellow drinkers of the Wisconsin Scottish Society based out of Milwaukee!

Bottled@Monks Café Sveavägen, Stockholm. Reddish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, big sweetness, some slight fudge and also mild leathery notes. Flavour is metallic, mildly leathery, some caramel malts, nuts and mild fudge. Quite pleasant brew, but could do with a little bit more complexity.

From pfoxyjohn. Pours a clear deep amber with a nice head and ample lacing. Aromas of wet sweet malts and very little peat or smokiness associated with this style. Taste is smooth but agreeing with pfoxyjohn that it drinks more like an amber with weak characteristics for a Scotch Ale. Still a very easy to drink beer. Thank you John.

Bright reddish-copper with a bubbly off-white head. Fruit and toffee aromas. Crisp smooth-edged palate with a lightly bitter finish. Flavors of apple and light caramel, only faint toasted malt. Not much Scottish character I'm afraid; more like an American amber ale.
