Another special labor of love from our brewer to warm you during these cold winter days. The weeks spent toasting the oats to various degrees of toastiness in our kitchen's ovens make this quite possibly a first of its kind. Full of chocolaty-roasty malt goodness with a toasted quality and smooth creamy mouthfeel achieved from the oats, which made up 20% of the total grains used to make this Imperial version of an Oatmeal Stout. Take time to allow this one to warm, as it reveals all its truly unique aromas and flavors for your enjoyment.

Another beer that I wish was part of the brewer's regular lineup as this was a great beer. A very dark brown pour with a medium brown creamy head that lasts. Dark chocolate, vanilla, and oats are discernable in the aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, oats, and a bit of molasses sweetness.

In the world of creaminess, this imperial oatmeal is on the leader board. On tap at the Winter Warmer Festival, this was a great treat. Delicious aroma of roasted and sweet malts backed by some fresh coffee. An opaque dark brown pour with a medium sized khaki colored head and lots of layered lacing. Filling and incredibly smooth on the palate, it's hearty yet delicate and silky. The flavors developed more as this beauty warmed up. Lots of creamy chocolate backed by some strong coffee. Dark cherries and red wine flavors are intertwined between the assortment of roasted, dark malts. A nice low bitterness from a small amount of floral hops. Nutty and sweet, it's a great example of an amped up sweet stout.
