Solid offering from this NE Ohio Brewer. Fairly tame for an imperial, but damn approachable with a very nice roasted malt profile. Still, black body with a diminishing head and a few spots of lace. Prominent coffee and roasted malt nose with hints of molasses and chocolate. Flavor follows suit with additions of black licorice, chocolate and nuts. Medium to heavy bodied, creamy and soft with a wonderful finish and aftertaste. Multiple samples of this could easily be enjoyed during a session.
