Our buds from the Funk Lab at Nickel Brook have the art of brewing sours down to a science, so it only seemed natural to create a delicious dry-hopped sour with them. This bright and lively beer has clean lactic sour notes with hints of strawberry and cherry from the unique Barbe Rouge hops. We finished this tasty sour with a load of wild blueberries and pear juice to make this an irresistibly tangy treat.

Last can from their Rising Tide Collaboration mix pack. Clean, slightly unfiltered, peach-amber colour with a fizzy off-white bubbly head, good retention and foamy thick lacing streaks. The carbonation is quite active with tiny bubbles. Mostly blueberries coming out in the nose over the pear softness. Gets really dirty and cloudy at last pour. Fruity taste with some nice dry finish. Light sourness which works well with the fruits, again with the blueberry notes stronger. An easy-drinking fruity dry-hopped sour.

The beer pours a hazed brownish-pink colour with a weak white bubbly head that doesn’t last very long. The aroma is tart berries, funky grains, light yeast, and vinegar. The mouthfeel is puckering, light to medium bodied, and highly carbonated. The flavour is very tart with hints of grains and fruit. Finish is quite sour without a lot of bitterness.
