This traditional Belgian beer finds its origin in 1815 at the time of the battle of Waterloo. Its old fashioned brewing process from malt and hops finely selected gives it a strong, tasty and vigorous character. Delicious fragrance of fresh yeast outlined by scents of fruit. Light bitterness with a touch of caramel and roasted malt. Smooth beer with strong personality yet in harmonious balance.

Clear dark brown, big lasting, lacing brown foam head. Caramel aroma is prevailing. Nice warm taste, high alcohol. Caramel and some nutty tones. Decent dubbel. (Velp 201504)
