La Schwarzbier, ou bière noire en allemand, est une lager qui trouve son origine dans le sud-est de l'Allemagne au milieu du 16 ième siècle. Contrairement aux Stout et Porter, la Schwarzbier n'est jamais amère, grillée ou âcre; on la découvre plutôt élégante et étonnamment équilibrée.
