This award winning all-rounder was brewed as a tribute to the flax industry that brought wealth and prosperity to Flanders. It was a nice compliment to hear that enthusiast are calling it “West Flanders history in a bottle” Although this top fermented ale with refermentation in the bottle is referred to as a “strong Belgian blond”, you’ll discover a lightly sour-sweet yeasty fruit on a par with mildly sweet pale malts and a refreshing flow of really fragrant, springy flower blossoms, orangey-citric fruity hops with a mildly mineral, chewy bitterness The finishing undertone is a tad zesty or slightly tangy to render a intriguing contrast with the smooth flowery aftertaste, light on the carbonation, just sufficient to render a refreshing palate, against a medium body and moderate flavor profile. For the connoisseur who appreciates a more complex flavor; you can swing the bottle a bit so that the yeast comes into the glass, giving it an extra special taste.

Bottled. Hazy deep yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is herbs, yeast, malts and hops. Flavour is herbs, spices, hops, yeast and some hints of bread. Pleasant and refreshing.
