A Flemish Style Vermont Sour Red Ale fermented with brettanomyces yeast providing slight tartness with barnyard aromas and flavors. This recipe was the result of the collaborative efforts of VPB brewers both past and present in honor of their mentor and Master Brewer, Greg Noonan. The name (Toolah - Leez) comes from county Cork in Ireland where the Noonan clan originated. Hits the style. Raise one to Greg...

Sampled at the brewpub. Hazy golden with a white head. Smells woody with the typical sourness of a Flemish Sour. A little tarty. Sour, but not too crazy with apples in the finish. A real nice try on this style, a little unbalanced, but very nice to have this in s pub.
