Spollen Angel is Upright’s first foray into a classic abbey style. Named after friend and colleague Chris Spollen of Amnesia Brewing, this Belgian-style tripel uses the same yeast strain as the recently released Todo Modo but in a very different recipe, yielding our strongest brew to date. Look for lots of bubblegum and other fruity notes wrapped around Mt.Hood hops which provide contrasting floral and grassy flavors. While the Spollen Angel clocks in at 10.6% abv, it remains surprisingly drinkable thanks to an extra dry finish. Cheers Chris!

On tap @ Upright. Deep brown golden pour, tight beige head, good lacing. Nice toffee, Juicy Fruit gum, light banana nose and taste upfront with ample sugars, yeasties and well-hidden ABV. Very nice effort - had a couple pints of this one.

A big, sweet triple that stays pretty close to prototypical, just a little bigger. Especially in the abv and the bubble gum departments. Light clove and spice, bready, crisp. Nice brew...
