OH BROTHER! is one of a series of special limited-run beers in styles that are more extreme or unusual. This crisp, straw-colored ale is blessed with a host of spicy and fruity aromas. We brew it from pilsener malt, candy sugar and some very non-traditional hop choices. But hey, we never said we were monks. We're just brothers.

i really liked this, but got bogged down in the after day mess .. . stop crying! .. . golden in colour, medium sticky foam .. . ever thought about growing a mustache? .. . yeast, honey and a different spice in the flavour, but tasty .. . Aw, get your ass outta here, it's too hot!

On draft at the Clark Street Ale House, Chicago. Poured the usual, hazy golden-straw color, white head, but this one wasn't that impressive, quick fade, only ok lacing. The aroma was nasty sweet caramel apples, over-ripened bananas. The flavor followed suit, fowl apples w/ hints of cider, and those sweet over-ripened bananas, almost to the point where the mealiness of them buggers could be felt in the mouth. Spicing, dryness, and pilsy-grassy-hoppy elements all missing. Mouthfeel was a bit light and acidic for the style. Sorry, another 2Bro bomb.

Bomber shared amongst some newly found friends during my initial meeting down at the local Jazz Club. Poured a very cloudy light orange with a thin head and touches of mild lacing. Estery aroma of funky banana, spicy cloves, pepper and fresh yeast. Thick and filling, it's a warm sipper. Nice flavor that is true to the Tripel style, nothing overdone and a touch tame as long as you take your time. Earthy and sweet with some musty hops and fermented fruits. Decent, not near to top of my list but it was tasty.

This brew pours a cloudy orangeish-yellow colour with a medium white creamy head. Aroma of banannas, mangoe and cloves with soft notes of spice and tropical fruits throughout. Taste is pleasent, refreshing and very clean on the palate.

I was expecting a lot after enjoying Hop Juice. Hazy medium gold colored body. The aroma is Granny Smith apples with cinnamon and some light mango. The taste is warm peach pie with cinnamon. There is also some tart cherries in the finish. This is toward the fruity end of tripels, but not overly sweet. The body is smooth and relatively thin for the style. This is a beer that begs to be savored. Decent.
