A Kolsch is a classic German ale, but lagered after fermentation to give a crisp clean character. Protected in Germany and only allowed to be called a Kolsch if brewed within 50 miles of Cologne, Germany, in the US there is no restriction. Our Kolsch is a fairly neutral beer balanced between the malt and the German hops, with a lightness and subtle fruity aroma from the ale yeast. A great session beer to kick off the warmer weather!
