Poured completely clear golden yellow with a moderately sized head that didn't last too long with minimal lacing. Lots of carbonation to the point of almost being fizzy. Grain grain and grain with not much of it being hops.

Bottled@CPH BF 2011. Yellowish golden colour, not much head. Aroma is bready malts, some herbs and quite earthy. Flavour is beinge bready malts, some grains, grass and mild herbal notes. Quite cheapo feeling over this one.

OK-Here goes my first review, first of all, you have to drink this beer at the Obermuhle in Garmisch-why you say? They have a "special" cold activated gizmo that pours the beer. It takes awhile but worth the the wait. The beer is served in a beaker like cylinder, frothy head, lacy as I saw it described. Clean crisp flavor, not hoppy at all. It was like an angel french kissing me, slowly and gently. She was blonde, clean and robust, what a beer. Now I saw some reviews and I have had it out of the bottle, not the same! So I went back to see my angel again and again to confirm. She never dissappointed me. Only at the Obermuhle can you find this blonde angel, you will not find her in the bottle.

I tried this beer while in the Alps on the recommendation of my favorite pils lover here in Germany. it's a beautiful pour, always in the appropriate cylinder glass, please! Tiny bubbles burst toward the meringue head which leaves incredible lacing behind . The Austrian noble hops provide a great citrusy aroma and just the right bite, yet no bitter aftertaste. AS with all pils here on Europe, there is a sweet honey taste and smell and just the right amount of malt to give it body. it's BRIGHT, yet substantial. I wonder if the Trumers brewed in the US taste the same. I think you need that alpine water...and the right glass.... :) (16OCT2010 edit) and after reading Trapezemonk's review, I've made reservations at the Obermuhle to try the real deal, like again and again! whew :)

Run of the mill pilsner, lite in character, pleasant overall flavor, simple refreshing, ok to have with a light lunch or snack. A bit more expensive than others in a similar beverage class

Standard pilsner, aroma and flavor of grass, honey, and some skuniness. Slight carbonation bite, with a bitter finish. Overall it was o.k. but nothing to seek out.

totally average for a pilsner, and that ain't sayin much. 43rd of 52 beers at a local brewfest. nothing more to write here...pretty standard stuff. easily avoidable.

This beer was pretty average all around. The smell was slightly skunky. A nice head when poured. It was very golden. The flavor wasn't too bad. It had a slight grassy skunky flavor.

Pours a light golden/yellow with full white head and extraordinary lace. Grainy aroma with some hops and light citrus. The mouthfeel is light, smooth, and easy on the palate. Malts and hops dominate the flavor. Honest pilsner, must be one of the best.
