Sampled 10/22/08. This Biere de Garde pours a medium yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized long lasting white foamy head, with good retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, banana and yeast, with some honey. A medium bodied Biere de Garde. The malts are fruity and very sweet, lots of banana flavors. The hops are earthy and a touch floral. Lively carbonation. It’s a touch too sweet and seems to be missing some of the spiciness of a Biere de Garde. There are some interesting honey flavors going on here. Drinkable but a little too sweet for my tastes. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.
