Single Intent pays tribute to Belgium’s Trappist breweries, which make a lighter-bodied blonde ale that’s set apart for the monks’ personal consumption and not sold—hence the term Patersbier, meaning “father’s beer.” With a spicy, herbal aroma from French Strisselspalt hops, this crisp and complex ale is too good to keep cloistered.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 8
Comes out of the tap a beautiful clear golden with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled ivory head that leaves some good lacing. Strong aroma has fruity, yeasty and subtle malty notes. Flavor has a strong fruity core that is equal parts citrus and pomme with hoppy and yeasty undertones. Firm, lively mouthfeel has plenty of fizz and life. Your single intent should be to find this great brewski.
