This was a dark color as others stated, picked it up at a variety store. The two of us sampling this beer thought it was decent. Not the best scottish type ale i have had ;, but worth a try once.

Three quarters of the way to being a good Scottish Ale, unfortunately it's average at best. Fizzy lifeless pour, decent feel, buttery aroma and a flavor containing mostly caramel and biscuits.

This beer poured with dark amber colored body topped off by a smallish off white head that left very little lace. The aroma was slightly musty with lots of earthy tones and some light caramel malt. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and slightly dry. The flavor was toasted malts, earthy flavors, smoke and light caramel.
