We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch. 2013 vintage: 10.9% abv, 58 IBU

Pours nearly opaque sable with s nice tan head. Aroma has strong woody, hoppy, coffee and roast malt tones. Flavor features woody, bourbon ,cocoa, coffee, roast malt and subtle molasses tones. Firm, thick mouthfeel features plenty of fizz and tingle. Howl for one!

Picked up a few bottles on a trip to Philadelphia - excited to try this as thirsty dogs barrel aged brews have never disappointed. Deep black pour with a walnut hued head. Aromas of oak and chocolate. Thick mouthfeel with Flavors of vanilla and oak melded with chocolate, cherries, figs, and a strong bourbon finish. To say is is good is an understatement as this a seriously phenomenal take on a barrel aged stout.

Barrel aged version of my nostalgic favorite from the Dog. Mild barrel influences allow the rich and wonderful stout to be showcased. Opaque near black body with a filmy head and bubbly lacing. Great as always with a splash of bourbon.
